Due to unforeseen circumstances, Student Government Association has an opening for the paid position of Off Campus Community (OCC) Senator for the remaining term of the Spring 2016 semester. Please note that in order to be considered eligible for this position, the student must currently reside off campus (Students who reside in East Block, West Block, and Bluff apartment buildings are not eligible to apply). Weekly Senate meetings are on Thursdays from 4-7 p.m., please check your schedule to ensure you are available during this time frame.
Being a Senator provides the exciting opportunity of being directly involved in decisions that will touch each student at Biola. Senators are the liaison between the student body and the administration, they exist to represent the needs of their constituents to Biola's Student Government Association. As a Senator, one has the chance to serve alongside with the Student Body President, Vice President, and all other 26 members of the SGA staff. Senators also serve in committees with other faculty and students in order to champion student voices across Biola’s campus. In short, senators exist to empower students.
